      <p class="para_topic">You interact with NX by opening a part file and choosing an application from the menu bar. Selecting an option from the menu bar and then responding to the displayed dialog window(s) is the initial procedure. You create your designs within the NX main application window.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Using NX, you may create, store, retrieve and manipulate design and manufacturing information.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Work typically begins by creating geometry to describe a part. The NX system allows you to create complete three-dimensional models of parts, which can be stored permanently. Stored parts can subsequently be used to:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Produce fully dimensioned engineering drawings.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Generate instructions for NC machining.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Generate input for analytical processes such as finite element analysis.</p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_topic">A part is composed of objects created during the design process. Objects are also referred to as entities depending on the application you are working in. These objects are classified as:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Geometric objects: Points, curves and sheet bodies</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Text objects: Notes, labels and dimensions</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Attributes: Color, font and width.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic"> In NX, objects are created according to conventions of Euclidean geometry (e.g., lines have no width; points are dimensionless, etc.).</p>
