      <p class="para_topic"> The Object Preferences dialog defines layer, color, font, and width of new objects. It does not affect existing objects, nor objects created by copying existing objects. The object types to which you can assign preferences are points, lines, arcs, conics, splines, bodies, Coordinate Systems, planes, datum planes and datum axes. There are also two collective types that apply only to this function: Default and All but Default.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> Changes that you make using this dialog are saved with the part file.</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Displayed at the top of the Object Preferences dialog are the current color, line font, and width Default Settings. &quot;Default&quot; is a specific Type that you can change by opening the Type option menu, selecting Default, and then specifying its settings from the Color, Line Font, and Width option menus. You can individually assign the default color, line font, and width settings to any object type listed on the option menu. Once a setting for an object type is set to Default, it will change whenever the corresponding Default setting changes.</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Type</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Specifies the object type whose preferences you want to change. Once you have specified an object type, you can then change any or all of its three main preferences: its Color, Line Font, and Width. On changing any of the three main preferences of a type, click Apply to make the change effective.</p>
                  <p class="para_td"> If you change the Default type, you will see the changes appear in the Default Settings area at the top of the dialog.</p>
                  <p class="para_td"> The type, &quot;All But Default&quot; refers to all types in the Type option menu, with the exception of Default.</p>
                  <p class="para_td"> Datum/Plane includes planes, datum planes and datum axes.</p>
                  <p class="para_td"> The Line Font and Width options are grayed out and unavailable for the following types: Points, Coordinate System and Datum/Plane.</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Defines the color of the selected object type. Colors you can specify include the standard colors from the current palette, the Default color setting, and No Change.</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Specifies the curve display character for the selected object type. Line Fonts include solid, dashed, phantom, etc., the Default lines font setting, and No Change. (This option does not affect text fonts.)</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Specifies the curve display width for the selected object type. Thin Width is one pixel wide, Normal Width is two pixels wide and Thick Width is three pixels wide. There are also options for the Default, and No Change. Widths only displays if the Preferences&rarr;Visualization&rarr;Line&rarr;Show Widths toggle is ON.</p>

                  <p class="para_td"> Sets the properties for subsequently created objects to those of a selected, existing object. Select Inherit in the Object Preferences dialog and select the object with the properties you want to inherit (or use). To modify some of the inherited properties, adjust them using the Object Preferences dialog before you click OK.</p>

                  <p class="para_td">Surface Continuity Display</p>

                  <p class="para_td">Use these options to specify the colors of elements of surface continuity analysis objects (for information on Surface Continuity Analysis see the Shape Studio Help).  </p>
                  <p class="para_td">Click the currently assigned color to open a palette that lets you specify a new color. You can assign colors for the following Continuity Checks of Surface Continuity Analysis Objects:  </p>
