      </table><br><p class="para_topic">First, start NX and the conferencing software. If you must enter a Teamcenter Community CAD conference before you can connect to it from NX. See  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('ugcollaborate/conf_manage.html');return(false);">Conference Management</a> for more details.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Go to <b class="uiTerm">File&rarr;Collaborate</b> and select <b class="uiTerm">Connect to Teamcenter Community</b>.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">This will connect your session to a conference data channel, and display the <b class="uiTerm">Collaborate</b> tool bar in your session.
      </p>

      <p class="para_topic">Use <b class="uiTerm">File&rarr;Open</b> to open the assembly or parts you will be working on not all of them have to be parts you will collaborate on. The parts you and others have in common (by name) are automatically be put into collaboration. It is a good idea to turn <b class="uiTerm">Partial Loading</b> off when loading assemblies.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Click on the <b class="uiTerm">Parts in Collaboration</b> window appearing on a tab beside the graphics window. This display shows each participant and the files being collaborated. Initially it will only show your user name until others open their parts in their sessions.

      <p class="para_topic">You can now start making changes to your model and sharing them with the other participants!</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The quickest way to exercise your collaboration powers is to:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Make one of your parts in collaboration your work part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the Modeling application.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit parameters on one or more features.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Collaborate the changes with the <b class="uiTerm">Expressions</b>  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/expressions.gif" border="0"> function.

         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">Other participants will see their versions of the part update with your changes.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can use any NX functionality to update your model. If you add or delete features, or change geometry use the <b class="uiTerm">Part File</b> function  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/send.gif" border="0"> to share these changes with the other participants.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can use the <b class="uiTerm">View</b> function  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/view.gif" border="0"> to have the other participants see what you are seeing (assuming they have the part in collaboration).
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can use the <b class="uiTerm">Markup</b> tool  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/markup.gif" border="0"> to send notes and pointers as well.
