      <p class="para_topic">The Spreadsheet Expression Editor is a special implementation of the Spreadsheet that allows you to edit some NX expressions.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can open the spreadsheet expression editor by clicking the Tools&rarr;Expression&rarr;Spreadsheet Edit option.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Extended Functionality</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Expression Editor spreadsheet includes a Tools main menu item. Use the Tools&rarr;Update Expr option to update the NX part using the expression and values from the spreadsheet editor. Use File&rarr;Exit or Connect&rarr;Disconnect to disconnect a Xess spreadsheet from NX.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Data Organization</div>
      <p class="para_division">This function automatically loads the spreadsheet with a vertical layout of the expressions in the part. Data will be sorted in the same manner as the expression list in the NX dialog. The Figure below shows the layout.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The layout contains 3 columns of data starting with the expression name, the formula for the expression, and the evaluated value of the expression. The center column labeled Formula can be modified in order to change an expression, and is generally displayed in green.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  In Excel, the center column shows the result of evaluating the formula. You can see the formula for a cell by clicking in the cell and looking in the Excel type-in line.</p>

      <p class="para_division">If interpart expressions are being referenced, the names and value of those interpart expressions will appear in yellow below the list of expressions in the part. You cannot change the value of the interpart expression. As with the Modeling Spreadsheet, the interpart expression names are changed from part_name::expression_name to part_name$$expression_name.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Manipulating Expressions</div>
      <p class="para_division">In the spreadsheet, you are allowed to modify expressions with simple formulas by changing the contents of the column labeled Formula.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You can:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Change values or formulas in the column labeled Formula.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Reference interpart expressions already recognized in the current expression list.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use spreadsheet native formulas as a part of the NX expression.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Reference spreadsheet cells as part of the NX expression.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">You may NOT:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create or reference new interpart expression names.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Add or delete expressions from the list.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Modify the expression Name (column 1).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Change the value of interpart expressions.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit formulas with measurements or special functions.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Updating Expressions</div>
      <p class="para_division">After modifying the expression list, you can update the NX expression list with the new expressions by choosing Tools&rarr;Update Expr(from the spreadsheet's Tools menu). After the update is complete, you can exit from the expression editor spreadsheet by File&rarr;Exit or Connect&rarr;Disconnect.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">   This function does not update the NX part. The Update Expr function reloads the values from the spreadsheet into the expression system. To update the part with the new expressions , use the Tools&rarr;Expression dialog (from the NX main MenuBar).</p>

      <div class="title_division">Interpart Expressions</div>
      <p class="para_division">For the spreadsheet to properly calculate values for formulas representing NX expressions, all of the referenced expressions must be present in the spreadsheet. This implies that if a part uses an interpart expression in a formula, then that interpart expression must also be in the spreadsheet.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When the spreadsheet encounters an interpart expression while extracting expressions from a part, the program will create a special row or column containing definitions of the values for those interpart expressions.</p>
